HECK – An Original Musical Comedy by Kathryn Cesarz and Jesse March 
Presented by St. Croix Festival Theatre
October 11-27

Heck is a musical comedy about the Devil herself and her emotional support Demon, Belpho, as she copes with her on-again, off-again relationship with Her-Ex. The show features original music, puppetry, stage combat, and lots of laughs. This world-premiere by international award-winning playwright and physical comedian, Kathryn Cesarz, will grace The Historic Auditorium stage from October 11 through the 27.

A Christmas Carol – Adapted by Jaclyn June Johnson 
Presented by St. Croix Festival Theatre
November 29 – December 22 

A Christmas Carol rounds out St. Croix Festival Theatre’s 2024 season with a holiday favorite which audiences are sure to enjoy! Festival Theatre beloved alumni artist, Jaclyn June Johnson, adapts a new stage script from the Charles Dickens novel. Celebrate the holidays and warm the heart with the classic story of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, a Christmas haunting, and what truly matters in life.

A plan created to purchase and restore the St. Croix Falls Auditorium back to it's historical roots, adding modern flair and many updated amenities.

Construction Starts!
We broke ground in 2023 and are in the process of restoring and renovating the old civic auditorium in St. Croix Falls into a music & performing arts venue.

Contract With Tenants
Our primary tenants are in the process of being secured, but our goal is to provide a home to professional theatre, music, and other performing arts, while also present a much-needed dining option for downtown St. Croix Falls. We are currently accepting idea invitations for those interested in becoming a restaurant or retail tenant.

Opening Day!
The Historic Auditorium welcomed the community during Wannigan Days weekend in July 2024 with two open houses. The St. Croix Festival Theatre opened The Spitfire Grill on August 8. Grand opening events are planned for September.

ST. CROIX FESTIVAL THEATRE!

St. Croix Festival Theatre’s mission is to make the performing arts welcoming to all people as an essential part of the well being and vitality of the community.

St. Croix Festival Theatre was formally founded in 1990 as a non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation to provide St. Croix Valley residents and visitors to this scenic region with highest quality of live professional theatre. In the years since, Festival Theatre has produced more than 100 plays for more than 200,000 St. Croix Valley residents and visitors.

St. Croix Festival Theatre “came home” to The Historic Auditorium in August 2024 with their production of The Spitfire Grill, and is excited to round out their 2024 season with productions of Heck and A Christmas Carol. Festival Theatre will continue to have events at the Franklin Black Box Theatre.
